Need No One is a story about a young married couple named Nadia & Darnell McKinney. Nadia is a Theatre actress and performer. Darnell is a Design Analysis and a fresh business owner of a Production studio. They're in year 4 of marriage and starting to experience a change and shift in time and love, and now find themselves in a battle with career and home life. In the mist of finding balance at home, temptations rise.
Patrick Gathron is an American actor from Dallas, Texas. He recently co-starred in the HBO drama mini-series ‘Love and Death’, has guest starred in the National Geographic’s ‘Long Road Home’ and has appeared in the James Cameron produced action-adventure film Alita: Battle Angel. His theatre work includes productions with MATCH Houston (Wildfire), Austin Playhouse (Satchel Paige and The Kansas City Swing, Death of a Salesman), Morgan-Wixson Theatre (Port Chicago 50) as well as Hyde Park and Spectrum Theatre. Patrick will be playing the role of Darnell McKinney.
Jessica Jenkins is a native of the Midwest. Born and raised in Illinois and Indiana respectively. Jessica has lived in Houston, Texas long enough to appreciate the love and diversity of the arts. She is a graduate of Prairie A & M University with a Bachelor of Arts in Theater. She currently teaches theater in north Houston. Jessica has been blessed enough to take her talents all over the country with acting and improvisation skills. Currently, she is a member of the all black female improv troupe Just Us. Her most recent projects include Just As I Am, Lyfe’s Poetic Revenge, Square 1 The Series. She is a mother of two, wife to one, and because of God, second to none. Jessica will be playing the role of Nadia McKinney.
Miracle Lewis Is an upcoming actress in the Dallas metroplex. Miracle has been acting since the start of her high school days and has participated in plays and musicals since. She received an Associates of Art degree at Trinity valley Community College and went on to receive her BA in Theatre from Texas Womans University. Since graduating from college, Miracle has been in short films, feature films, and stage plays. Miracle wants to thank her Lord and savior Jesus Christ, her family, and close friends for their love and support. Miracle will be playing the role of Mia Johnson.
Tony McGilveary is enthused to be making his acting debut in the “Need No One” stage play. He’s A Men’s Physique Body Builder and Coach, as well as an up-and-coming Fitness Model who’s been featured in multiple New Era Commercial Shoots. Tony Studied at Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Fort Scott Community College in Kansas. He’s A native of Fort Worth, Texas, where he currently lives. Briana Lacole is an ambitiously driven artist from Temple, TX, who currently resides in Houston, TX. She works full-time in postal services and has made the wonderful decision to join the arts. Furthermore, Briana has received training at John Casablanca's Modeling & Acting company. She will be making her debut as an actress in Unique 97' Need No One production! Briana thrives on pushing herself through the challenges that may come with the territory of acting by setting goals for herself. Briana will be playing the role of Jewel and receptionist.
Kendall “Ken Duran” Hawkins is a small town boy with BIG dreams. Born in Arkansas and raised in Dallas, TX; Ken has always taken interest in the arts and from childhood had aspirations to be a worldwide musician, entertainer, performer, model, and actor on the big screen. Ken graduated from GSU. While attending Grambling State University, he was a saxophonist in the GSU World Famed Tiger Marching Band. He also performed in several GSU theater productions including: Michael, A King; The Wiz; and Bad Seed.
After graduating from Grambling, Kendall moved back to Dallas where he continues to pursue his entertainment goals all while working in the corporate field, and obtaining his Master’s Degree in Finance. Kendall has been recording/performing music as “King Ken,” and has successfully released four hip-hop/r&b albums. His latest featured horror film Incubus: New Beginnings is set to be released in just a few weeks! He has goals of performing all over the world, starring in motion picture films, being in broadway plays, and breaking racial norms/barriers in mainstream productions. Ken will be playing the role of Lance.
Lynn is a native of Lubbock, TX, and a graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington. She found her passion for the arts very early in life, at the age of 5, landing her in several roles throughout high school and college performing. Lynn has done key roles such as Benetha in 'A Rasin in the Sun'. Lynn is a Theatre educator, director, and an acting mentor to junior high artist in Cedar Hill, Tx. When she's not directing, she takes pride in spending time with her children and husband of 11 years. This is Lynn first time gracing the stage since 2012. Lynn will be playing the role of Moma Shunna.
Leon King is a native of Dallas, Tx. Need No One will be his acting debut. Leon is a veteran of the U.S. Army. He's a lover of the arts, music is his thing, don't matter the genre or mood. He also love creating things. His motto is "You only die once so live like it." Leon will be playing Maxwell.
China Dennis is a Houston Native, and theatre major at Texas Southern University. She’s done a few films and ensemble in shows such as Oedipus the King and Fabulation of the Re-education of Undine. China is amdel and heavily involved in different elements within the arts. China will be apart of the ensemble.
